The very best part of DIS's identity is of being a residential school. We have a very elaborate setup and a committed team to look after the boarding needs of your child. The setup consists of fully ventilated hostels for boys and girls, dining halls, study areas, infirmary, sports area and a very committed team of House Parents, Wardens, Matrons, Nurses, Aayas headed by the Dean of Pastoral Care.
Centrally located in the campus the boys hostel can house upto 50 boys. In line with the old boarding schools, the boys hostel is divided in 5 dormitories with a capacity of 10 boys each. Every child is provided with a bed, almira and a study unit of his own. House Parents are also put up in the same hostel to supervise the children and maintain discipline in the hostel. A Matron/Warden along with aayas looks after the entire maintenance and supervision of the hostels. Each floor has a common room, which is equipped with hoist of indoor games and audio visual equipments to look after the entertainment needs of the children.
Not very different from the boys hostel, but smaller in size the girls hostel has a capacity of 30 girls, with 3 dormitories having capacity of 10 girls each. the girls hostel also has a provision of a central courtyard where girls can play and spend their leisure time.
